Removing and installing sealing flange - pulley end > < Removing and installing flywheel

Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Hose clamp -T20018B-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Guide sleeve -T20081B-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Extractor kit -T20143-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing
–  Remove toothed belt → Chapter.
   
–  Remove the notched belt-crankshaft sprocket. To do this, immobilise the notched belt sprocket using the retention tool -T20018B-.
–  Extract the bolt securing the sprocket to the crankshaft and remove the sprocket for the notched belt.

–  Place the seal extractor -T20143- between the crankshaft and the sealing ring, as shown in the figure. Now search for a pressure point on the other side, lift until the seal is released and, take care the the shaft is not damaged in the process.
Fitting
  Note
t  Do not lubricate sealing lip and outer rim of oil seal before pressing in.
t  Use clean cloth to wipe off oil residue at crankshaft journal.

–  Connect the seal to the guide sleeve of the adaptor -T20081/6- and fit the ensemble to the crankshaft pivot.
–  Remove the adaptor -T20081/4-.
  E13-0108
–  Fit the crankshaft sprocket, immobilising it with the counterhold -T20018B-.
–  Tighten the new central bolt to the prescribed torque → Anchor.
  Note
t  There must be no oil on the contact surface between the sprocket and the crankshaft
t  Do not lubricate the bolt for the crankshaft sprocket.
–  Install toothed belt (adjust valve timing) → Chapter.
–  Install poly V-belt → Chapter.

1)  Renew bolt
