Removing and installing 4/2-way valve with thermostat > < Removing and installing coolant pump

Coolant circulation pump -V178-: Removing and installing
t  Coolant circulation pump -V178-: Removing → Anchor

Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
   
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Hose clamp -3094-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Tray -VAS 6208-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Base -VAS 6499-, see equivalent → Anchor

   
Removing
–  Fit the centre noise insulation -fasteners 1 ... 3-.

–  Remove the air conduction hose; release the hose clips -1- and -2- for this purpose.

–  Remove bolts -arrows-.
–  Release hose clip -2- and push front air pipe towards the right.
  Note
Ignore positions -1- and -3-.
  Note
  A21-10435
Place a cloth underneath coolant circulation pump -V178- to catch escaping coolant.
–  Disconnect and remove the coolant hoses with the hose clips -3094-. For this purpose, loosen the clip -3-.
–  Disconnect connector -2-.
–  Unscrew the bolts -1- and unscrew the coolant circulation pump -V178-.
  Note
-Arrow- can be disregarded.
Installing
l  Tightening torque → Chapter
Reassembly is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

t  Hose connections and air pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before assembly.
t  Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Parts catalogue.
t  To ensure that the air hoses can be properly secured at their connections, spray rust remover onto the worm thread of used hose clips before installing.
–  Install air pipe → Chapter.
–  Install air hoses with screw clamps → Fig.

–  Fit the centre noise insulation -fastening parts 1 ... 3-.
–  Check coolant level → Chapter.
