Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Hose clamp -3094-, see equivalent → Anchor
  W00-0079
t  Base -VAS 6499-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  AF-4mm wrench -T10370-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing
–  Fit the centre noise insulation -fasteners 1 ... 3-.
  A10-1565
–  Remove both coolant hoses of the oil cooler with the hose clamps of up to Ø 25 mm -3094-.
–  Loosen spring-type clips -arrows- using spring-type clip pliers -VAS 6499-.
  Note
Collect escaping coolant with drip tray -VAS 6208-.
–  Pull coolant hoses off oil cooler.
–  Remove oil filter bracket → Chapter.

–  Release the attachment bolt -arrow- using the 4 mm socket -T10370- and extract the engine speed sender.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse sequence; note the following:
l  Specified torque for engine speed sender -G28- → Item
l  Specified torques for oil filter bracket → Chapter.
–  Check coolant level, replenish coolant if necessary → Chapter.
–  Checking engine oil level → Chapter.
