Stress-free alignment of exhaust system
l  Engine must be cold
   
–  Release the bolted connectors -3 and 4- from the front clamp-1-.
–  Align the front clamp -1- with mark -A- on the exhaust pipe before the catalytic converter -2- (the -arrow- shows the driving direction).
l  Dimension -a- = → Fig.
l  The bolted connectors must be on the right and must not project over the lower edge of the clamp.

–  Push rear silencer forwards into clamp until dimension -a- 15…17 mm is attained between mountings for body and rear silencer. -Arrow- points in direction of travel.
–  Align rear silencer horizontally.
–  In this position, tighten the bolts of the clamping sleeve. Mounting position and specified torque → Chapter.
