Removing and installing toothed belt for coolant pump
Removing and installing toothed belt for coolant pump
Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Spanner -T10360-, see equivalent → Anchor
  W00-10515
t  Torque wrench -VAG 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor.
Removal:
–  Remove small coolant pipe → Chapter.
  W00-0427
–  Remove the coolant hoses -1 and 2- and move clear to one side.

–  Remove bolts -arrows- and detach toothed belt cover.
  Caution
Risk of damage to thread.
The drive sprocket bolt has a left-hand thread.

–  Unscrew the drive sprocket bolt -1- from the coolant pump with the torque wrench -VAG 1331- and with the tool -T10360-, by locking the vibration damper..
–  Detach drive sprocket -1- and toothed belt -2-.
Installation
l  Tightening torque → Chapter
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:

t  Replace the drive sprocket bolt.
t  Replace gaskets and O-rings.
t  Observe the installation position of the sprocket for the toothed belt → Item.
–  Install small coolant pipe → Chapter.
–  Fill up with coolant → Anchor.
