t  Removing → Anchor
t  Install → Anchor.
t  Tightening torques → Anchor
Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Collecting tray -VAS 6208-, see equivalent → Anchor
Removing
–  Observe all safety precautions and rules for cleanliness → Chapter.
  W00-10228
–  Remove the right hand cover -1- on the fuel tank.
–  Place the drip tray -VAS 6208- under the fuel filter.
  WARNING
The fuel system is pressurised. Before opening the system place a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully loosening the connection.
  A20-1268
–  Remove the fuel supply line -1-, -2- and -4-. Press the unlocking button.
–  Remove bolt -3-.
–  Take fuel filter off.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:
  A20-1270
Fitting position:
Direction of flow is indicated with an arrow on filter housing.
The arrow marks -1- and -2- must be opposed to each other.
  A20-0842
Distance between fuel return line and fuel tank:
FWD: -a- = 6 … 10 mm.
Four-wheel drive: -a- = 3 … 7 mm.
