Removing and installing flywheel
Removing and installing flywheel
t  Removing → Anchor
t  Installing → Anchor
Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Hose clamp -10 201-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing
l  Gearbox removed.
–  Attach the counterhold tool -10 201- before loosening bolts.
  Caution
Risk of damaging the outer surface of the mounting flange for the flywheel.
Use a multi-point socket bit with a length of at least 40 mm to slacken and tighten the bolts of the flywheel.
–  Unscrew the bolts and take off flywheel as well as the sender wheel.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:
l  Tightening torque → Chapter
  Note
t  Renew bolts for flywheel.
t  A needle bearing is fitted in the flywheel. Before installing, check that the needle bearing is fitted. Move the needle bearing of the flywheel in and out with force → Chapter.
–  Pay attention to dowel pin when installing flywheel.
–  Fit counterhold tool -10 201- the other way round to tighten bolts.
