| Memorise the position of the indicator arm -1- of the tension roller. Press the notched belt hard with the thumb -arrow-. The needle must move. |

| Stop pressing the notched belt. |

| Turn the crankshaft two complete turns in the direction of rotation of the engine. |

| Check the position of the needle. The needle should have returned to its original position. |
If the indicator arm does not return to the original position: |

| Replace the tension roller. |
If both tension rollers are correct: |

| Re-install the lower timing belt guard. |
–
| Install crankshaft pulley. Note the following: |

| Use a new attachment bolt for the pulley and the timing belt wheel. |
t
| When fitting the pulley check the fixing with respect to the notched belt wheel. |

| Tightening method for the new greased bolt: → Chapter |

| Fit the engine support on cylinder block. Tightening torque: 50 Nm |

| Fit the support assembly on the engine. Tightening torque → Chapter . |
Note When fitting the Poly-V belt, make sure that it is correctly seated on the pulleys. |

| Fasten the coolant expansion tank. |

| Install top notched belt guard. |
