1 - 25 Nm
2 - Mounting
q   Be sure to fit in correct position
q   If this is damaged, replace it
3 - Mounting
q   Be sure to fit in correct position

4 - Cutting location
q   Marked by impressions on connecting pipe
q   In series production vehicle front and rear silencers come fitted as one unit. In event of repairs, the front and rear silencers are available separately with a double clamp for connection.
q   Cut the connecting pipe at the cutting point, e.g. using a body saw -VAG 1523B- at right angles → Fig.

q   Fit without tension

   
Separating point on exhaust pipe
–  Cut through exhaust pipe at right angles at the position marked with the arrow -2-.
–  When installing double repair clamp-4- place between side markings arrows-1- and -3-.
t  Tightening torque: 25 Nm
