Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  counterhold -T20127-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  base -T20172/1-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Tower -T20172/2-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Engine bracket -T20172/3-, see equivalent → Anchor

Premise
l  Gearbox is separated from engine
Operation process
  Note
To align the assembly centre fit the counterhold -T20127- to the corresponding anchorage points.
   
–  Position the straps of the retaining device -T20127- on the anchorage points-12- and -13- .
  WARNING
Ensure that the hooks are closed with the security rings.
–  Using the workshop crane, remove the engine from the counterhold -T20205-.
  Note
If operations are to be carried out on the crankshaft or on the sealing flange, the engine flywheel and intermediate plate must be removed before attaching the engine to the engine bracket -T20172/3- .

–  Fit in the engine block the engine support -T20172/3- assembly and -T20172/2-.
–  Position the engine in the support -T20172-.
