Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  counterhold -2024A-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Workshop crane -VAS 6100-, see equivalent → Anchor

For assembly work, the engine must be secured to the Engine support -VAS 6095-.
–  Unbolt gearbox.
   
–  Hook in suspension device -2024A- as follows and remove engine with workshop crane -SAT 1040- from engine/gearbox jack -VAS 6100-.
Pulley side: 2. Borehole of the perforated flange in position 1.
Flywheel end: 1. Hole of the perforated flange in position 7.
  Caution
Insert safety pins into the hooks and bolts to prevent damage to the engine and vehicle.
t  The positions numbered 1 – 4 of the hoisting bar face the pulley.
t  The holes in the perforated flanges are counted starting from the hook.
–  Secure the engine to the engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095-.
