| Remove the attachment clip -3-, remove the connection nozzle -2- from the nozzle of the thermostat -4- and remove the flexible tube -1-, or remove the thermostat nozzle -4-. |

| If the system is filled using the additive G 11 -green colour-: |

| Before refilling with new liquid coolant G 12 -purple colour-, the cooling system must be cleaned in the following manner: |

| Remove all traces of the old liquid from the system. To achieve this, compressed air may be applied to the coolant expansion tank. |
| –
| Close the system and fill only with water. |
| –
| Run the engine for about two minutes. |
| –
| Empty the liquid and then clean the system again using compressed air. |
