Removing and installing fuel filter
Removing and installing fuel filter
Special tools and workshop equipment required

Removal:
  Note
t  Note safety precautions before starting work → Chapter.
t  Observe rules for cleanliness → Chapter.
–  Place container under fuel filter.
  WARNING
Fuel system is under pressure! Wear eye protection and protective clothing to avoid eye injuries and skin contact. Before loosening hose connections, wrap a cloth around the connection. Then eliminate the pressure by carefully separating the pipe.
   
–  Remove the fuel lines -1-, -2- and -3- pushing the release button.
–  Remove bolt -4-.
–  Take fuel filter off.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:
Flow direction is marked with arrows on filter housing.
  A20-1082
installation position
Pin -2- on filter housing must engage in notch of guide -1- in filter bracket.
Tightening torque:
  A20-1133
