Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
   
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Measuring tool -T10007-
t  Pliers to open hose clips -VAS 5024A-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Torque wrench (5 - 50 Nm) -V.A.G 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor

   
t  Coolant pump wrench -V.A.G 1590-, see equivalent → Anchor.
Adjust the coolant pump wrench -V.A.G 1590-
–  Due to changes to the securing bolts of the coolant pump pulley, file the rounded ends in a = 1 mm at minimum.
  Note
t  The integrated coolant pump seal must not be separated from the coolant pump.
t  Damaged or leaking coolant pumps must be completely replaced with seal.
Removing
–  Coolant: Empty → Chapter
–  Poly-V belt: Removing → Chapter
–  Remove the coolant pump pulley. To lock the pulley, use the coolant pump wrench -V.A.G 1590-.
Fitting
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing, note the following:
–  Place the coolant pump onto the engine block.
–  Tighten securing bolts to 10 Nm
–  Tighten the coolant pump pulley to 20 Nm. To lock the pulley, use the coolant pump wrench -V.A.G 1590-.
–  Poly-V belt: Fitting → Chapter.
–  Fill cooling system → Chapter
