t  Manual vacuum pump -VAS 6213-
Test prerequisite:
l  Ignition must be switched off.

Checking process:
–  Remove the air vent line (white) -2-. To do this, press the quick-release coupling on the line and then »grasp« the lock and remove the quick-release coupling.

–  Connect the manual vacuum pump -VAS 6213- to the breather tube, as shown in the figure.
–  Operate the manual vacuum pump -VAS 6213- a few times. Vacuum must not build up.
–  Remove rear right wheel housing liner.
–  Pull off hose -1- at activated charcoal filter.

–  Seal vent hole and union on activated charcoal filter -arrow-. Operate the vacuum pump a few more times . A vacuum must build up.
–  If vacuum does not build up, renew activated charcoal filter.
