This system reduces the risk of fire in the case of accidents, as the fuel pump is disconnected. It also achieves more comfort when starting the engine. When the door is opened, the fuel pump is activated for 2 seconds in order to build up pressure in the fuel system.
When opening the fuel system:
Always follow safety precautions → Chapter.
