General information about the ignition system
t  For trouble-free operation of the electrical components a voltage of at least 11.5 V is necessary
t  In some tests the control unit may detect and store an error. Therefore, the fault memory must be interrogated and deleted if necessary after all tests and repairs have been completed → Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051„Guided Functions“.
t  If the engine starts, runs for a short period and then stops, after fault finding, repairs or component tests, then the fault may lie with the immobiliser blocking the engine control unit. In this case the control unit must be adapted → Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051„Guided function“.
