If after erasing the fault memory, a fault is again displayed related to the camshaft sensor (Hall sender), even though the former checks were correct, that fault may be the following:
l  The obturation ring for the Hall sender -G40- is twisted
–  Loosen the Hall sender -G40- and check if the rotor on the camshaft is correctly fitted (if not correctly fitted, the insertion tab is crushed when tightening the attachment bolt).
If the rotor position is correct, check crankshaft/camshaft correspondence.
If no fault is found in the cables and there is voltage between the contacts 1 and 3:
–  Replace Hall sender -G40-.
If the specifications are not attained:
–  Replace engine control unit: → VAS 5051; Vehicle self-diagnosis.
