  Note!
The equipment -V.A.G 1552- may be used instead of the -V.A.G 1551-, however in this case the results cannot be printed.
Test condition
l  Fault eliminated
  Note!
Following the elimination of the fault, the fault memory should be consulted and then erased in the following way:
Verification process
–  Connect the equipment -V.A.G 1551- (-V.A.G 1552-) and, using the corresponding “address code” 41, select the diesel pump electronic control unit. While doing this, the engine must be running idle → Chapter.

Display indication:
–  Press the keys 0 and 2 for the function “Consult fault memory”, confirm using the key Q.
 
Rapid data transmission             HELP
Select the function XX                  
–  Continue pressing the key until all of the recorded faults have been displayed on the screen:
–  Press the keys 0 and 5 for the function “Erase fault memory”, confirm using the key Q.

Display indication:
–  If the memory cannot be erased, it means that there is still a fault that has to be eliminated.
–  Press the key .
 
Rapid data transmission               ->
The fault memory is erased              
Display indication:
–  Press the keys 0 and 6 for the function “End data transmission”, confirm using the key Q.
–  Carry out a test-drive and interrogate fault memory once more: No fault should be recorded.
