Fitting ABS in left-hand drive vehicles.
The ABS brake system is divided diagonally. The vacuum servo brake neumatically increases the the braking force.
Vehicles with ABS Mark 30 IE do not have a mechanical braking force regulator. Specially designed software in the control unit regulates the braking force in the rear axle.

The hydraulic unit -a- and the control unit -b- form one unit. These two elements can only be separated one the have been removed.
New control units supplied as replacement parts are not coded. Once fitted, they need to be coded.
Faults in the ABS system do not affect the brake system or the brake servo. Without ABS, the conventional brake system continues to function.

ABS layout in right-hand drive vehicles:
1 - Hydraulic unit to front right brake clip
2 - Hydraulic unit to rear left brake drum
3 - Hydraulic unit to rear right brake drum
4 - Hydraulic unit to front left brake clip
A - Floating piston brake pipe
B - Pressure-bar piston brake pipe
