  Note!
t  Do not remove sealing plugs from new hydraulic unit until corresponding brake line is to be fitted.
t  If sealing plugs are removed too early from the hydraulic unit, brake fluid can escape, and it can then no longer be guaranteed that the unit can be sufficiently filled and bled.
When assembling control unit and hydraulic unit, ensure that the hydraulic unit contact pins are not canted against the control unit solenoid valves.
–  Using new bolts, bolt control unit to hydraulic unit. Observe tightening torque max. 4 Nm.
–  Fit connector on hydraulic pump motor, if available.
–  Bolt ABS unit to bracket.
Do not tighten self-locking nuts fully. Bolting the individual brake pipes to the hydraulic unit is made easier.
–  Installation is continued in reverse sequence.
–  Bleed brake system → Chapter.
–  Enter radio code.
–  Code control unit with → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 in “Guided fault finding” function.
   
Torque settings: 
Control unit to hydraulic unitmax.
4 Nm
Hydraulic unit hexagon nut to bracket8 Nm
Nut for tandem master brake cylinder to brake servo (self-locking)
t  Use new nuts!
25 Nm
Brake lines to ABS unit: 
Thread M10 x 114 Nm
Thread M12 x 114 Nm
