Unbolting control unit from hydraulic unit
Unbolting control unit from hydraulic unit
Separating the control unit from the hydraulic unit is described for one ABS unit only.
The work sequence for the remaining ABS Mark 20 IE variants is identical.
–  Pull connector for hydraulic pump motor from control unit.
   
–  Unscrew torx head bolts E5 -arrows- from control unit and pull off control unit.

When pulling off control unit, ensure that the hydraulic unit valve contact pin is not canted on control unit solenoid valves.
Cover control unit solenoid valves with a lint-free cloth.
After separating control unit and hydraulic unit use transportation protection for valve contact pin.
