Wheel bearing / wheel hub unit: Pressing out and pressing in
Wheel bearing / wheel hub unit: Pressing out and pressing in
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
   
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Pressure plate -VW 401-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Pressure plate -VW 402-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Die -VW 407-
t  Die -VW 412-
t  Thrust pad -VW 511-
t  Fitting sleeve -30 - 100-
t  Splitter -Kukko 15-17-

   
Press wheel hub out of bearing.
  A42-0201
Press out bearing race from the wheel hub.
–  Fit splitter (e.g. Kukko 15-17) into annular groove -arrow- on inner bearing race and tighten spindle.
  V40-1163
–  Press out bearing race from the wheel hub.
  V40-1162
Press wheel hub into bearing.
–  When pressing in, the thrust pad -VW 511- must only bear against the inner race.
