  Note
t  On vehicles with the ABS Mark 60 system and a 2nd generation steering gear, no new spare steering gear parts of this generation are available.
t  Thus a 3rd generation steering system must be installed in its place.
t  For affected vehicles, other parts will also need to be replaced in addition to the steering gear. A description of the affected vehicles and the procedures to follow is provided below; this information is also → available in the Electronic Spare parts Catalogue „ETKA“.
The following listed components must also be replaced when replacing the 2nd generation steering gear:
t  The wiring harness must always be replaced.
The assignment of the corresponding spare parts must be observed as per the → Electronic Spare parts Catalogue „ETKA“.
