Installation –  Attach the steering column to the assembly tool of the block support.

–  Centre the steering column on the block support and fit. The pivots must coincide -arrows A- of the block support with the holes -arrows B- of the column and fit into them. If this is not done, it will not be possible to locate the steering column correctly in relation to the mounting bracket.

–  Tighten the bolts -2- of the steering column again. –  Connect the earth connection -arrow- and the cable -1- of the column.

–  Fit universal joint -2- onto steering box pinion and tighten bolt -1-.

–  Fit the trim on the footwell vent -1- and attach with the bolts -arrows-.

–  Fit the cable rail -1- located below the column. The lugs -arrow- must engage in the guide on both sides.

–  Plug in connector -1-. –  Fit the footwell vent located below the steering column → Heating, air-conditioning; Rep. gr. 80. –  Install steering column switch → Electrical system; Rep. gr. 94. –  Fit the trim of the combined steering column switch → Bodywork, interior installation work; Rep. gr. 68. –  Fit the left-hand trim on driver's side: → Bodywork, fitting work, interior; Rep. gr. 68 –  Install steering wheel → Chapter. –  Fit the airbag into the steering wheel → Bodywork, interior fitting work; Rep. gr.69 .

–  Carry out the → basic adjustment of the steering wheel angle sender -G85- using the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 505X-.
