Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1410-

t  Insertable ring tool -V.A.G 1410/2-

–  Loosen the hexagonal nut -4- → Note.
–  Loosen the hexagonal bolts -1- → Note.
–  Loosen the locking screw -3- of the tightening bolt -8- at least one turn (⇒ Fig. V48-1064 → Anchor) → Note.
–  Tighten the Poly-V belt by turning the tightening bolt -8-(⇒ Fig. V48-1064 → Anchor) with the torque wrench-A- (-V.A.G 1410- and -V.A.G 1410/2-).
Specification: Used belt, 4Nm; New belt, 7 Nm
–  Tighten the locking screw -3- of the tightening bolt → Chapter.
–  Tighten the hexagonal bolt -1- → Chapter.
–  Tighten the hexagonal bolt -2- and the nut -4- → Chapter.
  Note
The nut -4- is only found in vehicles with petrol engines.
