Repair of a cable union of 0.35 mm²
  Note!
t  The cable repair kit -VAS 1978- contains cables with three different types of sections (0.5 mm², 1.5 mm², 4.0 mm²) and their corresponding connecting pins
t  For the repair of a cable of 0.35 mm² utilize a repair cable of 0.5 mm²
t  The repair should be done in the following mode

–  Peel off the ends of the 0.35 mm² cable with a pincer double it's length (approx. 12 to 14 mm).
–  Fold in half the exposed wires of the cable.
–  Peel off the ends of the 0.5 mm² cable with the pincer (approx. 6 to 7 mm).

–  Fit the union pin at the ends of the cables and press both sides with the terminal pincer.
Do not press on the end cable insulation of the wires while doing this operation.
It is necessary to take into account the use of the 0.5 mm² orifice red color in the terminal pincers.

–  After pressing the union pin you should shrink the union pin with a hot air blower.
The union pin should be heated from the center outwards until it is fully sealed and you should see the adhesive come out.
The hot air blower should be correspondingly adjusted to the temperature indicated in the instruction manual.
While heating to shrink, be careful not to damage other cables, plastic pieces or insulating material with the hot mouth of the blower.
–  If the repaired cable was previously taped, this joint should be taped with yellow adhesive tape, or in necessary cases, fix the cable with some type of brace.
