Caution | Before working on the electrical system disconnect the battery earth strap. |
| Before beginning the reparation, eliminate the cause of the damage, for example bodywork parts with sharp edges, faulty electrical consumers, corrosion, etc. |
| The wiring of the airbag system and screened wiring, for example revs sender and knock sensor, cannot be repaired. If damaged, it must be replaced entirely. |
| Other information, for example removal and installation of the different components, is found in the corresponding Repair Manual. |
| Wiring repairs may only be done with wire yellow. |
| Yellow wiring or places taped with yellow insulating tape in the wiring indicate previous repairs at these places. |
| After every reparation, functioning must be verified; if necessary clear the fault memories or set the systems at basic position. |
