  Caution
To avoid damage to the battery poles and terminals the following must be taken into account:
t  The battery terminals must be fitted by hand, without forcing.
t  The battery poles must not be greased.
t  The terminals should be fitted so that the pole is flush with the terminal or protrudes a little.
t  Once the battery terminals have been tightened to the prescribed torque, they must not be tightened again.
