Removing and installing poly V-belt pulley without freewheel > < Removing and installing voltage regulator - Valeo alternator from 2007 onwards
Checking carbon brushes - Valeo alternator from 2007 onwards

Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Feeler gauge, 0.3 mm
   
Checking sequence
–  Remove voltage regulator → Chapter.
–  Insert a feeler gauge of 0.3 mm -item 3- between the protective cap -2- and the carbon brushes.
–  Pull protective cover off voltage regulator -1--arrow-.

–  Check length -a- of brushes.
l  Wear limit: -a- = 5 mm.

–  Press the carbon brushes -3- downwards using the feeler gauge -4- when the protective cap is fitted -2-.
–  Pull the protective cap off until the stud -arrow- keeps the carbon brushes depressed.
–  Install voltage regulator → Chapter.
