Feeler gauge, 0.3 mm
Checking sequence
–
Remove voltage regulator
→ Chapter
.
–
Insert a feeler gauge of 0.3 mm
-item 3-
between the protective cap
-2-
and the carbon brushes.
–
Pull protective cover off voltage regulator
-1-
-arrow-
.
–
Check length
-a-
of brushes.

Wear limit:
-a-
= 5 mm.
–
Press the carbon brushes
-3-
downwards using the feeler gauge
-4-
when the protective cap is fitted
-2-
.
–
Pull the protective cap off until the stud
-arrow-
keeps the carbon brushes depressed.

Install voltage regulator
→ Chapter
