Removing and installing voltage regulator - Valeo alternator from 2007 onwards
Removing and installing voltage regulator - Valeo alternator from 2007 onwards
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Feeler gauge, 0.3 mm
   
Removal:
–  Remove alternator → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
–  Disengage cover of rear part of alternator from studs -arrows-.

–  Unscrew bolts -1- and centre hex stud -2-.
–  Remove voltage regulator.

Installation
–  Insert a feeler gauge of 0.3 mm -item 4- between the protective cap -2- and the carbon brushes -3-.
–  Pull the protective cap off until the stud keeps the carbon brushes depressed.
–  After installing voltage regulator, press protective cap on as far as stop.
Further installation is carried out in the reverse order, note the following:
–  Install alternator → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
l  Tightening torque → Chapter
