| Connecting the central diagnosis -VAS - |
Note | Installation location of the diagnosis connector of the different models is described in the manual Electric System Rep. Gr. 97 of the respective vehicle. |
| Connecting vehicle diagnostic tester -VAS -: |

| In vehicles with automatic gearbox, set selector lever in position „P“ or „N“. |
| –
| In vehicles with manual gearbox put the gear lever in neutral. |
| –
| With the ignition switched off, connect the vehicle diagnosis tester -VAS - to the diagnostic terminal on the vehicle. |
| The following processes are performed with this test program: |

| Check of user authorization |

| Test of correct connection to SEAT database |
| Prerequisite: tester must have an online connection (network connection): |

| Select the operating mode „Guided fault finding“ on vehicle diagnosis tester -VAS -. |

| Using „GoTo“ button, select „Functions/component“ and then the following menu options in succession: |
