Removing and installing left footwell vent temperature senderG261 > < Defroster flap control motorV107 with potentiometer for defroster flap control motorG135: Removing and installing.
Left temperature flap control motorV158 with potentiometer for left temperature flap control motorG220: Removing and installing.
Left temperature flap control motor -V158- with potentiometer for left temperature flap control motor -G220-: Removing and installing.
Removal:
–  Disconnect battery → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
–  Remove the bottom section of the steering wheel housing according to the version of the model → Bodywork, interior fitting work; Rep. gr.68.
   
–  Remove the driver side footwell trim → Bodywork, interior fitting work; Rep. gr.68.
–  Remove the vent from the foot well area on the left side → Chapter.
  Note
The dash panel insert is not illustrated in the figure to provide a better overview of the parts to be removed.

–  Remove bracket for fixing the tunnel -B-, remove the dash panel insert → Bodywork, interior fitting work; Rep. gr.70
–  Remove the Data bus diagnostic interface -J533--1- → Electrical system; Rep. gr.97

–  Remove bracket -A- for fixing the dash panel insert → Bodywork, interior fitting work; Rep. gr.70
–  Remove the bolt -A-.
–  Unscrew bolts -D-.
–  Release lever -F- and press the tabs -E- together.
–  Remove the connector -C- from the Servomotor for the left temperature flap -V158-.
–  Detach control motor -B-.
Installation
  Note
  E87-10085
The lever -E- in the servo motor is actually white as is the connection rod -F-.
Re-install all parts removed in reverse order; note the following:
–  Route wiring harness so that it cannot come into contact with moving components (e.g. control motor lever).
  Note
t  All cable ties and other electric wiring harness fasteners released or severed when removing the air conditioner unit are to be re-attached in the same position on fitting.
t  Use the respective tightening torques.
–  Consult the fault memory of the Climatronic control unit -J255- and erase the faults that appear → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
–  Carry out the basic adjustment and diagnostic of the air conditioning actuators the consult the fault memory once again → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
