| A warning lamp in the instrument panel controls will indicate that the selected function is active. Furthermore, the display of the radio or the radio navigation system briefly shows the selected function when briefly pressing one of the buttons or a controller. |

| Changing between the display °C and °F in the display of the radio or the radio navigation system is carried out in the main menu in the dash panel insert. Call up the main menu using the rocker on the windscreen wiper lever (or multi-function steering wheel). Then select settings, units and temperature. |

| When an Air-conditioning control unit and display, Climatronic -E87- is fitted with a new Climatronic control unit -J255-, the basic setting and adjustment of the „Initial commissioning of the air conditioner compressor“ should be carried out in the guided fault finding or in the guided functions. |

| When the control lamp does not illuminate after pressing the AC button, a fault may be registered in the control unit. Call up the error memory with the Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 505X- (or successor models). If the fault „Initial commissioning of the air conditioning compressor not performed“ is stored, the adjustment „Initial commissioning of the air conditioning compressor “ must be performed. |

| Pressing the AUTO button will cancel all settings which deviate from automatic operation. |
