Exhaust gas temperature sender 4G648: Removing and installing.

Exhaust gas temperature sender 4 -G648-: Removing and installing.

t	Removing → Anchor

t	Fitting → Anchor

Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Articulated wrench e/c 17 -T20212-, see equivalent → Anchor

t	Torque wrench -VAG 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor.

Removing

–	Detach the connector -3- of the exhaust gas temperature sender 4 -G648-.

Note

Disregard -items 1, 2 and 4-.

–	Unscrew the securing bolts -arrows- and remove the engine soundproofing..

–	Unscrew the exhaust temperature sensor 4 -G648- from the exhaust pipe to the particulate filter → Item.

Fitting

l	Specified torque: 45 Nm.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

t	Apply hot bolt paste to the thread of the temperature sender after the particle filter → Spare parts catalogue.

t	Fit cable ties in the original positions when installing.
