Brake pads with pre-defined direction of rotation
1 - Right hand piston side brake pad
2 - Brake pad on the left of the piston
  Note
Before fitting new brake pads, the piston inside the cylinder has to be extracted with the calliper tool -T10145-. Before pressing the pistons back, draw off brake fluid from the reservoir with a bleeder bottle -SAT 1175B/1-. Otherwise, if brake fluid has been replaced it might leak and cause damage.

–  Press piston back.
–  Fit the brake pads.

–  Insert inner brake pad with retaining spring into brake caliper (piston).

–  When fitted, the arrow on the back plate -A- must point downwards. Take special note! 
–  Remove the protective plastic cover from the back of the outer brake pad.
–  Fit the outer pad to the brake carrier.
  Note
t  When positioning the brake caliper, ensure that the brake pad does not stick to the brake caliper housing before it is positioned correctly.
t  Do not damage adhesive surface.

–  Screw in both guide pins -arrows- → Item for the brake calliper to the brake carrier.
–  Fit the two protective covers.
–  Insert the support spring on the brake callipers.
–  Fit the brake pad wear indicator connector in the telescopic arm.
–  Fit the wheels.
Tightening torque for wheel bolts → Rep. gr.44
  Note
t  After each brake pad change firmly depress brake pedal several times with vehicle stationary, so that the brake pads are properly seated in their normal operating position.
t  Check brake fluid level after changing brake pads.
