Lucas front brake - assembly overview > < Removal:
Fitting
Fitting
l  The piston is removed.
–  Fit the brake pads and the piston into the brake calliper housing.
   
–  Fit the brake pad with the inscription "Kolbenseite" on the rear section, on the brake piston.
–  Brake pad with the three-tabbed black clip to the outside of the brake calliper.

–  First support the lower part of the calliper -arrow-.
–  Fit the brake calliper with the brake pads into the wheel bearing casing.
l  The brake calliper pivot should be behind the brake back plate guide.
–  Screw the brake calliper casing to the brake back plate with the two guide pins, tightening them to tightening torque 28 Nm.
–  Fit the two protective covers.
–  Remove the block for the brake pedal -VAG 1869/2-.
–  Fit the brake pad wear indicator connector in the telescopic arm.
–  Screw in the hose.
–  Bleed brake system → Chapter.
–  Fit wheel.
  Note
t  Step on the brake pedal a few times with the vehicle stationary, so that the pads reach their working position.
t  Check the brake fluid level.
Tightening torques.
  N46-0147
Brake back plate guide pin.30 Nm
Screw the hose to the brake calliper.35 Nm
