Removing and installing yaw rate sender -G202- and lateral acceleration sender -G200-

Note!

Apart from direct exchange of the part to be removed, removal and installation of the yaw rate sender -G202- and the lateral acceleration sender -G200- are identical.

Removing

–	Remove driver's seat. → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.72

Location: yaw rate sender -G202--1- and lateral acceleration sender -G200--2- are secured to a bracket -3- under the driver's seat.

4 -	Centre console

–	Pull connectors -arrows- from yaw rate sender -G202- and lateral acceleration sender -G200-.

–	Unscrew bolts -1- and remove yaw rate sender -G202- and lateral acceleration sender -G200-

Yaw rate sender -G202-

–	Remove nuts -a- from yaw rate sender -G202--1-.

–	Remove yaw rate sender -G202-.

Lateral acceleration sender -G200-

–	Lever retainer -1- off lateral acceleration sender -G200--2- with a screwdriver.

–	Remove lateral acceleration sender -G200-.

Installing

Caution

Strong vibrations or heavy impacts could destroy the lateral acceleration/yaw rate senders.

Yaw rate sender -G202-

–	Insert and align yaw rate sender -G202-.

–	Tighten nuts -a- on yaw rate sender -G202--1-.

Further installation in reverse order.

Torque settings:
yaw rate sender -G202- to bracket	9 Nm
Hexagon Allen head bolts to bracket	10 Nm

Lateral acceleration sender -G200-

–	Insert lateral acceleration sender -G200- into bracket.

–	Installation position: The angled side -arrow- of lateral acceleration sender -G200--1- must face retainer -2-.

–	Slide retainer -2- over lateral acceleration sender -G200--1- until it engages.

Further installation in reverse order.

–	Carry out basic adjustment of lateral acceleration sender -G200- → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
