Installing > < Removing and installing brake servo
Removing
Removing
–  Note or request radio code on vehicles with coded radio if necessary.
–  Disconnect and remove battery.
–  Pull connector off brake fluid level switch.
–  Remove coolant expansion tank, pull off plug and swing to side.
–  Disconnect vacuum hose from brake servo.
–  Unbolt both mountings of the clutch cable.
Vehicles with ABS or ABS/EDL
–  Remove control unit and hydraulic unit → Chapter.
Vehicles without ABS or ABS/EDL
–  Disconnect brake pipes on brake master cylinder and seal brake pipes with plugs from repair kit -1H0 698 311 A-.
Continued for all vehicles
–  Remove trim below dash panel.
–  Remove brake light switch.
–  Remove brake pedal switch -F47-.
–  Separate brake pedal from brake servo → Chapter.
–  Unbolt brake servo.
–  Guide brake servo with brake master cylinder out forwards and remove.
