Fitting
Fitting
Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
  Note
t  Use new seals for hose and pipe connections.
t  Before fixing the gasket on the steering box, apply a lubricant, such as soap.
t  After fitting the steering box, check that the gasket at the top is properly seated on the contact surface without folds and that the opening which leads to the footwell vent is properly sealed. Otherwise, noise or water may enter.
t  Check that the seal surfaces are clean.
Check the hydraulic oil level after filling the reservoir and starting the engine. The oil level should go down.
If not, turn off the engine, disconnect the pressure piping of the power steering box and wait for hydraulic oil to run out.
–  Reconnect the piping and start the engine. Top up the oil level.
–  Straighten the front axle, and check the position of the steering wheel.
