–  Loosen the nut of the steering driveshaft -1-.
–  Remove the bolt -2-.
–  Remove the central soundproofing pan.
–  Choke the suction hose of the pump with the clamp -3094-.

–  Choke the reservoir hose with the clamp -3094-.

–  Remove the pendulum support from the strut -arrow-.

–  Remove the track rod from the steering rod.

–  Remove the connecting rods from the stabilizer bar -arrow-.

–  Loosen the front exhaust pipe from the strut support -arrows-.

–  Loosen the nut -arrow- of the steering box.

–  Loosen the power steering box from the strut support -arrows-.
–  Place the elevator -V.A.G 1383 A- under the strut support.

–  Loosen the bolts from the strut support -arrows-.
–  Lower the strut support with the elevator -V.A.G 1383 A-.
–  Release the hoses from the steering box (if they have not yet been released), and block them with plastic balls and tape. Block the treaded holes in the steering box with plastic plugs.
–  Take the power steering box out backwards.
