Steering column, steering mount: assembly overview
  Note
t  No welding or straightening work is allowed on the elements of the steering system.
t  Always replace self-locking nuts and bolts.
t  Always replace corroded bolts/nuts.
Remove and fit the steering column with the steering mount → Chapter.
Disassemble and assemble the steering mount and the steering column → Chapter
1 - Support
2 - Pressure ring
q   With washer incorporated
3 - Steering lock housing
q   Removing and fitting the lock cylinder: → Electric system; Rep. Gr.94
4 - Combination switch in steering column
q   Repairs: → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.94
5 - Upper pressure spring
6 - Multiple cog adapter socket
q   Releasing → Chapter
q   Insertion → Chapter
7 - Collar nut
q   50 Nm
8 - Allen bolt
q   10 Nm
9 - Lock socket
10 - Washer
11 - Rupture bolt
q   Tighten until the head is cut
q   To remove drill
q   Use protection glasses
12 - Intermediate plate
13 - Hexagonal nut
q   Left hand side thread
q   8 Nm
14 - Lock plate
15 - Left direction bolt
q   22 Nm
q   Move the operation lever to the upper limit
q   After tightening, fit the securing plate
16 - Intermediate plate
17 - Steering mount
18 - Lower spring
19 - Self locking nut
q   30 Nm
q   Replace
20 - Bolt
21 - Half shaft for the steering column
22 - Nut with retainer
q   Always replace
q   Use a self locking nut as in position → Item.
23 - 30 Nm
24 - Steering column
q   Removal: remove upwards from the steering mount
q   Check the length → Anchor
25 - Activation rod
26 - Bracket
27 - Spring
28 - Bracket
q   Before fitting, cover the side surfaces with paste -MoS2-.
