  Note
t  Only use original spring band clamps.
t  Install spring strap clamp with assembly pliers, e.g. -VAS 5024-.
t  Do not use drained hydraulic oil again.
t  After installing the engine pump aggregate fill with hydraulic oil → Chapter.
t  When installing the pressure line on the engine pump aggregate use new O-ring.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Pay attention to the following:
–  It is absolutely necessary to counterhold the rubber bearings when tightening the nuts to secure the holder on the engine pump aggregate.
  Caution
Observe the applicable safety instructions for disconnecting the battery with jumper cables!
–  If necessary connect removed battery to jumper cables.
–  If necessary install air filter.
–  Filling with hydraulic oil and bleeding the steering system → Chapter
–  If necessary disconnect the jumper cable.
–  If necessary re-install the air filter.
–  If necessary install the battery and battery tray → Electrical System → Rep. gr.27.
  Note
Pay attention to the measures after re-connecting the battery → Electrical System → Rep. gr.27.
–  If necessary install air filter → Engine, Fuel Injection → Rep. gr.24 (petrol engines) or → Engine, Fuel Injection → Rep. gr.23 (diesel engines).
–  Performing self-diagnosis → Chapter
If faults are stored in the fault memory:
–  Remove fault → Chapter
–  Erasing fault memory → Chapter
   
Tightening torques:
Rubber bearing to engine pump aggregate TRW7 Nm
Holder to engine pump aggregate TRW7 Nm
Holder with engine pump aggregate TRW to body
t  Use new screws!
20 Nm + 90°
Pressure line to engine pump aggregate TRW30 Nm
Radiator fan control unit -J293- to body6 Nm
Wheel bolts120 Nm
