| When performing installation work on the exhaust system, make sure the exhaust system is not mounted under tension and has adequate clearance from the vehicle body. If necessary slacken the double clamps and align the complete exhaust system so as to create adequate clearance between these components and the vehicle body, and that the weight of the exhaust system is evenly distributed over the hangers. |

| Always replace gaskets and self-locking nuts. |

| Use a screwdriver to slacken and tighten the clamping plates for heat shields. Tightening torque: 2 Nm |
