Removing and installing engine cover with air filter for engines with identification characters AUA, AUB, BBY, BKY, BBZ > < Disassembling and assembling fuel distributor with injectors

Disassembling and assembling the air filter
For engines with engine identification characters AUA, AUB, BBY, BKY, BBZ
1 - Air filter top part
2 - Gasket
q   replace if damaged
3 - Filter insert
4 - Air filter bottom part
5 - Rubber holder
6 - 3 Nm
7 - Gasket ring
q   check for firm seating
q   replace if damaged
8 - Inlet connection with control flap
q   Testing intake manifold preheating → Chapter

   
For engine with engine identification characters BUD
1 - 3 Nm
q   Air filter top part to air filter bottom part are connected with self-cutting screws. If these screws are released or tightened with a screwdriver, the connected components can be damaged.
q   This is why the use of a screwdriver is only permitted if:
q   the screwdriver speed max 200 rpm
q   the tightening torque max. 3 Nm.

4 - One-way valve
5 - Hose
q   to camshaft housing
6 - Inlet hose
7 - Spring strap clamp
q   to remove and install use pliers for spring strap clips
8 - Gasket ring
9 - Rubber grommet
10 - Air filter bottom part
11 - Air filter element
