Inspect wiring to the multi-function switchF125
Inspect wiring to the multi-function switch -F125 -
   
–  Disconnect the 10-pin plug and check the wiring for interruptions.

Switch on measuring range: Resistance measurement (200 Ω)
Multi-function switch -F125-Adapter cable -V.A.G 1598/18- bushesSpecificationMeasures for deviations from nominal value
1Pins 1 and 2 are not connected to the automatic gearbox control unit -J217 -.
–  Remove line interruption according to Current Flow Diagram → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations.
–  Check plug for:
t  Contact corrosion
t  Water penetration
t  Leakage

442less than 1.5 Ω
540less than 1.5 Ω
641less than 1.5 Ω

843less than 1.5 Ω
919less than 1.5 Ω
1018less than 1.5 Ω

  Note
If this test of the wiring does not show any unauthorised deviations, replace the multi-function switch -F125- → Chapter.
