Note
Always replace seals and gasket rings.
Removing
–
Drain coolant
→ Chapter
.

Detach coolant hose from connection fitting

Release bolts
-4-
with hinged wrench, remove connection fitting with „O“-ring

and thermostat

.
Testing coolant thermostat
–
Heat up regulator in a water bath.
Start of opening
Full opening
Stroke
approx. 87 °C
approx. 102°C
→ Remark
min. 7 mm
1)
Cannot be tested.
Install
–
Clean sealing surface for „O“-ring.
–
Insert coolant thermostat.
Fitting position:The clamp of the coolant thermostat must be positioned vertically.
–
Moisten new „O“-ring with coolant additive.
–
Tighten screws to 15 Nm.
–
Top up coolant
→ Chapter
