Inspecting the exhaust system for leaktightness

–	Start engine and run in idle.

–	Seal exhaust tailpipe for the duration of the leak check (e.g. with cloths or plugs).

–	Inspect all the connection points (cylinder head/exhaust manifold/pre-exhaust pipe etc.) for leaktightness by listening and visual inspection.

–	Eliminate any leak found.
