Inspect the vacuum system
  Caution
When routing the vacuum lines, make sure that the lines are not kinked, twisted or crimped. Otherwise this can lead to breakdown.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Hand vacuum pump, e.g. -VAS 6213-
Work procedure
–  Check all the vacuum lines in the complete vacuum system for:
t  tears
t  marten bites
t  Crimps and deformations
t  porous points and other leaks
–  Check vacuum lines to solenoid valves as well as from solenoid valves to the corresponding vacuum setting elements.
  Note
   
In order to generate „vacuum“, push the ring -1- for the hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213- into position -A-.
–  In the event of a fault memory entry, check the vacuum lines to the mentioned component and also the remaining vacuum lines to the other components.
If it is not possible to build up vacuum using the hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213- or the vacuum drops immediately:
–  Check hand vacuum pump and connecting hoses for tightness.
