Testing voltage supply for control unit > < Check accelerator pedal position sender

Check altitude sender
Special tools, test equipment as well as aids required
t  Handheld multimeter, e.g. -V.A.G 1526 A-
t  Measuring tool set, e.g. -V.A.G 1594 A-
Test sequence
–  Measured value block, display group 18 → Chapter.
If the specified value is not reached:
   
–  Unplug 3-pin connector -1- from hall sender -2-.
–  Switch on ignition.
–  Connect multimeter and measure the voltage between the following contacts of the sender plug:
Contacts 1 + 3
Contacts 2 + 3
Specified value: 4.5...5.5 V
If the specified value is reached:
–  Replace altitude sender -F96- → Chapter.
If the specified value is not reached:
–  Check wiring between the sender plug and engine control unit → Current flow diagrams and Fitting locations.
